If you have a treasured 16-bit program (such as a game ) you want to keep using that is no longer developed you can continue to run it if you want . The difference here is that only the 32-bit versions of Windows will allow it to run but Wine on 64-bit will probably run it fine (and if it doesn’t post a bug report on the Wine website).
